MehDia is a piece that hums the tune of an encounter: that of its 6 performers. It questions the human capacity to transform and be transformed through contact with others. With a hip-hop movement language steeped in contemporary poetry, the dancers carry us into their world. Through dance, they tell us of their own metamorphosis: from meeting the other to (re)discovering oneself.

Music composed especially for the piece supports this expressive dance. Beneath the dancers’ feet, Anne LE MOTTAIS’s graphic artwork unfolds like a constellation of lines tracing their movements and meeting points. In this atmosphere, choreographer Mehdi DIOURI offers, in his first piece, a poignant and poetic vision.
